Ananda means bliss. Ananda Yoga is the inspiration of Paramhansa Yogananda the author of Autobiography of a Yogi, and is firmly rooted in the ancient hatha yoga tradition. In Ananda Yoga we take time to breath, move into poses with optimal alignment based on your body, and pause to go inward and feel the results of the pose on the body, mind, and breath. We work directly with the body and breath to promote harmony and wellness of body and mind.
Ananda Yoga for Every Body classes take a slightly slower pace and offer the use of props (including chairs) to encourage body alignment and experience what each yoga pose has to offer! This class is suitable for all levels.
